Anusha is a former middle school math teacher who has worked as a policy advocate and organizer, fighting for equitable access to healthcare in Illinois. In Chicago Public Schools she volunteers as a debate coach, helping build the next generation of leaders in our schools.
First-hand experience
Anusha is fighting to improve academic outcomes for our students by investing in early childhood education, prioritizing school safety and wellness, and expanding after-school programs. As the daughter of Indian immigrants who came to this country for educational opportunities, and as a former middle school teacher and volunteer debate coach, she has seen first-hand the importance of investing in our schools. She will fight for every child to have a high-quality public school in their neighborhood.
