Jason is a proud Puerto Rican native of Humboldt Park. Raised by a single mother who earned minimum wage, Jason understands the struggles low-income families face in finding quality education. He's experienced neighborhood, magnet, and selective enrollment schools firsthand as a student, teacher, and parent. With a 14-year career dedicated to serving Black and Brown communities, Jason is committed to making a difference.
Rooted in Humboldt Park
Jason is a lifelong resident of Humboldt Park. He is a graduate of Chicago Public Schools, a former middle and high school teacher, and his sons attend Moos Elementary, the local neighborhood school, where he is an LSC member. Informed by his experience in the community and classroom, Jason will work tirelessly to represent parents and working-class families on the school board!
